Itinerary
Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Cedar Forests → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga (≈ 7 hrs drive)
Early pick-up from your accommodation in Fes.
Drive through Ifrane (“The Switzerland of Morocco”) and the cedar forests of Azrou.
Lunch stop in Midelt.
Continue via Ziz Valley with scenic views.
Arrive in Merzouga; ride a camel into the dunes at sunset.
Evening: enjoy desert camp experience with dinner and music.
Overnight in Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp.
Day 2: Explore Merzouga Region
Sunrise over the dunes, then breakfast at camp.
Visit nomadic villages, Khamlia for Gnawa music, the wild lake, palm groves & fossil areas.
Return to Merzouga and overnight in hotel or riad.
Overnight in Merzouga (Hotel/Riad).
Day 3: Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley (≈ 5 hrs drive)
Depart after breakfast to Rissani; visit its market.
Continue to Erfoud to see fossil workshops.
Travel through palm groves of Touroug & Tinjdad.
Arrive at Todra Gorge, explore the cliffs and canyon.
Head to Dades Valley, stopping at viewpoints like “Monkey Fingers.”
Dinner and overnight in Dades Valley.
Overnight in Dades Valley.
Day 4: Dades Valley → Rose Valley → Skoura → Ouarzazate (≈ 2.5 hrs drive)
After breakfast, drive through Rose Valley (Kalaa M’Gouna) with stops to see rose cultivation.
Lunch en route.
Continue through the palm groves of Skoura and visit Amridil Kasbah.
Arrive Ouarzazate; tour Taourirt Kasbah and/or film studios.
Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 5: Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech (≈ 3.5 hrs drive)
Depart from Ouarzazate after breakfast.
Visit the magnificent Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO).
Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n’Tichka Pass, with photo stops.
Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon or early evening.
Drop-off at your hotel or airport.
End of tour.
