4-Day Morocco Tour: Casablanca to Marrakech
Day 1: Casablanca → Fes (3.5hrs drive)
Pick up at your hotel or Casablanca airport.
Visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque.
Drive through scenic countryside toward Fes.
Stop at the Royal Palace Gate and enjoy a first taste of the old medina.
Overnight in a traditional Riad in Fes.
Day 2: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Merzouga (7 hrs drive, with stops)
Breakfast in Fes, then journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Stop at Ifrane (nicknamed “Switzerland of Morocco”) and the cedar forest of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques.
Lunch in Midelt.
Continue via the Ziz Valley with panoramic views.
Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara Desert.
Camel trek into the dunes (1–1.5 hours) at sunset to reach your luxury desert camp.
Dinner under the stars, Berber music by the fire, and stargazing in the desert sky.
Overnight in a luxury desert camp in Merzouga.
Day 3: Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley (5 hrs drive, with stops)
Early wake-up for a breathtaking desert sunrise.
Camel ride back (40–60 minutes) or 4x4 transfer.
Visit Rissani (traditional market) and Erfoud (fossil workshops).
Drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.
Explore the spectacular Todra Gorge with its 300m cliffs.
Continue to the Dades Valley, famous for rock formations (“Monkey Fingers”) and winding canyons.
Overnight in a charming hotel/riad in Dades Valley.
Day 4: Dades Valley → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech (6hrs drive, with stops)
Breakfast in the valley, then drive through the Rose Valley and Skoura palm groves.
Stop in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” known for its film studios.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous fortress of clay architecture.
Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) with panoramic views and photo stops.
Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon.
