This 12-day journey blends Morocco’s imperial cities, Sahara Desert adventures, and Atlantic charm into one unforgettable experience. Begin in Casablanca, wander the blue lanes of Chefchaouen, explore Fes’s medieval medina, ride camels into the Sahara, visit kasbahs and valleys along the Atlas Mountains, and end with the vibrant culture of Marrakech and Essaouira.

Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca → Rabat (1.5 hrs drive)
  • Pick-up in Casablanca (airport or hotel).
  • Visit Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques.
  • Continue to Rabat, Morocco’s capital.
  • Explore Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Oudaya Kasbah.

    Overnight in Rabat.
Day 2: Rabat → Chefchaouen (4.5 hrs drive)
  • Scenic drive to the Rif Mountains.
  • Arrive in Chefchaouen, the iconic “Blue Pearl.”
  • Free time to explore its charming medina and square.

Day 3: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes (4.5–5 hrs drive)
  • Visit Roman ruins of Volubilis (UNESCO).
  • Continue to Meknes, explore Bab Mansour Gate and El Hedim Square.
  • Arrive in Fes in the evening.

Day 4: Full Day in Fes
  • Guided tour of the medina: Al Quaraouiyine University, tanneries, madrasas, and artisan quarters.

Day 5: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Merzouga (7 hrs drive with stops)
  • Stop in Ifrane (“Switzerland of Morocco”).
  • Visit the cedar forest of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques.
  • Lunch in Midelt, then drive through Ziz Valley.
  • Arrive at Merzouga and camel trek into the Sahara dunes at sunset.
  • Dinner, music, and stargazing at a luxury desert camp.

Day 6: Sahara Desert → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley (5–6 hrs drive)
  • Sunrise over the dunes, return by camel or 4x4.
  • Visit Rissani market and Erfoud fossils.
  • Explore Todra Gorge with its towering cliffs.
  • Continue to the scenic Dades Valley.

    Overnight in Dades Valley.
Day 7: Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou (4–5 hrs drive)
  • Drive via Rose Valley and Skoura palm groves.
  • Visit Ouarzazate (“Hollywood of Morocco”).
  • Explore Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO site).

Day 8: Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech (4–5 hrs drive)
  • Cross Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) in the High Atlas.
  • Arrive in Marrakech by afternoon.

Day 9: Full Day in Marrakech
  • Guided tour: Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Gardens, Saadian Tombs, and souks.
  • Evening in Jemaa El-Fnaa Square.

Day 10: Marrakech → Essaouira (3 hrs drive)
  • Drive to Essaouira, the charming Atlantic coastal town.
  • Visit medina, harbor, ramparts, and beach.

  • Scenic coastal drive back to Casablanca.
