Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca → Rabat
  • Pick-up in Casablanca (airport or hotel).
  • Visit Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques.
  • Continue to Rabat, Morocco’s capital.
  • Explore Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Oudaya Kasbah.

    Overnight in Rabat.
Day 2: Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen (~5.5 hrs drive)
  • After breakfast, drive to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco.
  • Visit Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas.
  • Continue north to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, the picturesque “Blue City.”
    Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes
  • Visit Roman ruins of Volubilis (UNESCO site).
  • Continue to Meknes: Bab Mansour Gate, El Hedim Square.
  • Arrive in Fes in the evening.

    Overnight in Fes.

Day 4: Full Day in Fes
  • Guided tour of the old medina: Al Quaraouiyine University, madrasas, tanneries, and artisan souks.

Day 5: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
  • Stop in Ifrane, nicknamed “Switzerland of Morocco.”
  • Visit cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques.
  • Drive through Ziz Valley before reaching Merzouga.
  • Camel trek into the Sahara dunes at sunset.
  • Dinner, music, and stargazing in a luxury desert camp.

Day 6: Sahara Desert → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley
  • Sunrise over the dunes, return by camel or 4x4.
  • Visit Rissani market and Erfoud fossils.
  • Explore Todra Gorge with its dramatic cliffs.
  • Continue to Dades Valley, famous for its kasbahs and rock formations.

    Overnight in Dades Valley.
Day 7: Dades Valley → Rose Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou
  • Drive through Rose Valley and Skoura palm groves.
  • Stop in Ouarzazate, “Hollywood of Morocco.”
  • Visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Day 8: Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech
  • Cross the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m).
  • Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon.

Day 9: Full Day in Marrakech
  • Guided tour: Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Gardens, Saadian Tombs, and the souks.
  • Evening in Jemaa El-Fnaa Square with its storytellers and food stalls.

Day 10: Marrakech → Casablanca
  • Free morning in Marrakech.
  • Afternoon drive to Casablanca.
