Begin in Marrakech, head west to Essaouira’s Atlantic charm, return to soak in Marrakech’s soul, then cross the High Atlas to the cinematic Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. From there, traverse the Rose Valley to Dades, explore the dunes of Merzouga, wander the cedar forests and alpine towns of the Middle Atlas, explore imperial cities Fes and Meknes, and finally relax in the blue alleys of Chefchaouen before arriving in Tangier. This tour blends culture, nature, history, and adventure with maximum variety and comfort.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
  • Pick-up from the airport or hotel.
  • Settle into your riad. Evening free to explore Jemaa el-Fna and nearby souks

    Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech → Essaouira (~3 hrs drive)
  • Depart after breakfast for the Atlantic coast.
  • Stop at an argan oil cooperative.
  • Arrive in Essaouira: stroll the port, ramparts, medina, and seaside.

    Overnight in Essaouira.

Day 3: Essaouira → Marrakech (Walking Tour Day)
  • Return to Marrakech.
  • Guided city tour: Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa, souks, Koutoubia Mosque, Jemaa el-Fna.

    Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 4: Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou → Rose Valley → Dades Valley (~6 hrs drive)
  • Cross High Atlas via Tizi-n’Tichka Pass.
  • Visit Aït Ben Haddou, then Ouarzazate.
  • Drive through Rose Valley and arrive in Dades.

    Overnight in Dades Valley.

Day 5: Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga Desert (~5 hrs drive)
  • Morning exploration of Dades Valley.
  • Continue to Todra Gorge.
  • Head toward Merzouga for sunset camel trek.
    Overnight in desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga Region Full Day
  • Sunrise in the dunes.
  • Explore the desert region: Khamlia village, nomads, wild lake/palm grove, fossils.
  • Evening under stars in desert camp.
    Overnight in desert camp.

Day 7: Merzouga → Midelt → Ifrane → Fes (~7 hrs drive with stops)
  • Depart desert, passing through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley.
  • Midelt lunch stop, then cedar forest at Azrou.
  • Arrive in Fes, evening free to rest or enjoy medina.
    Overnight in Fes.

Day 8: Full Day in Fes
  • Guided walking tour: Royal Palace Gate, Mellah, Borj Sud, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Al-Quaraouiyine University, tanneries.

    Overnight in Fes.

Day 9: Fes → Meknes → Volubilis → Chefchaouen (~4 hrs drive)
  • Travel to Meknes: Bab Mansour Gate, royal stables, etc.
  • Drive to Volubilis ruins.
  • Continue to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. Twilight in blue alleys.
    Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 10: Chefchaouen → Tangier / Drop-off
  • Morning in Chefchaouen.
  • Drive north to Tangier (≈2 hrs) for your departure or drop-off based on your travel plan.

    End of tour.
